Garlic Chicken



  • Chicken ½ kg
  • Salt ½ + ½ tsp
  • White pepper ½ + ½ tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Corn flour 3 tbsp
  • Flour 1 tsp
  • Sugar ½ tsp
  • Ingredients for gravy:
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Stock 2 cups
  • Chopped garlic 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Green chilies (finally chopped) 2
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Spring onion (finally chopped) 3 tbsp
  • Hoi son sauce 2 tbsp
  • Chili garlic sauce 2 tbsp
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Ketchup 2 tbsp
  • Corn flour ¼ cup


Step 1

First of all cut chicken into cubes. Then in a bowl make a marination. Put flour, corn flour, egg,1/2 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of white pepper and sugar. Mix it well. Add chicken to this marination and keep it marinated for 20 minutes.

Step 2

Now deep fry marinated chicken into oil and when it turns golden brown take them out and keep it aside.

Step 3

Now for the gravy take another pan and heat 1 tbsp of oil. Add chopped garlic to it. When the garlic turns golden brown add stock, lemon juice, hoi son sauce, chili garlic sauce, sugar, remaining salt and white pepper and ketchup. Mix it well.

Step 4

Now add fried chicken to the gravy. Keep the flame high.

Step 5

Make a paste of corn flour with water and thicken the gravy with this paste. In the end sprinkle green chilies, coriander leaves and spring onions. Serve hot with fried rice.
