Tandoori Masala Chicken



  • Chicken 1 kg four pieces give cuts
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Roasted and crushed cumin 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp heaped
  • Chili powder 1 ½ tsp
  • Allspice 1 tsp
  • Vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Yogurt 4 tbsp
  • Orange color pinch
  • Raw Onion grounded 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Oil ¼ cup


Step 1

First of all make the marination in a bowl by putting all the ingredients mentioned above.

Step 2

Now put the chicken in the marination and keep chicken in this mixture for 2 hours.

Step 3

Pre heat oven and bake the chicken at 180 degrees for 20 minutes on each side. After 40 minutes take out the chicken and give dum of coal. Serve with onion rings, tomato slices and lemon wedges.

    Can you explain in detail on how to give dum using coal? Do i burn coal on stove and keep it in oven along with the chicken? For how much time? Please also explain chicken tandoori tikka procedure
