Gajar Ka Halwa



  • Carrots 2 kg grated
  • Milk 2 kg
  • Ghee 1 cup
  • Sugar 1 ΒΌ cup
  • Green cardamom 10 to 12 whole
  • Khoya 1 cup
  • Almonds and pistachio sliced 2 tbsp each
  • Barfi 4 to 5 pieces


Step 1

Take a large pan and put peeled and grated carrots. Cover for 15 minutes then add milk and cover again. Let it cook. When the half milk is dried its time to add sugar. Cook till sugar water evaporates.

Step 2

Now heat ghee put green cardamom in the ghee and add this to carrot mixture. Fry well (bhoonain) for 20 minutes.

Step 3

In the end add Khoya, barfi, sliced almonds and pistachio, leave it on dum for 10 minutes. Its ready to be served.
